A very warm welcome to Dairyhouse Farm Barn Weddings, located in Somerset. Owned by Aly and Nick, Dairyhouse Farm is a stunning, versatile venue for weddings. The venue has seen many a spectacular wedding since opening, including the very first - Aly and Nick’s wedding back in August 2016! The owners transformed the old cow stall into a beautiful venue for their special day and decided it was only right to share the super set up with other couples. Aly and Nick are incredibly proud and passionate about the service they provide, offering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy and make memories of a lifetime!

History...

Dairyhouse Farm is located on the edge of an ancient woodland overlooking the beautiful Somerset levels. The Lockyer family have been at Dairyhouse Farm in Bere, Aller, Langport since 1922. Originally a milking farm, the barn, that once was a tie up cow stall, is now a beautiful backdrop for your special day. The history of the barn, that was built in 1948, is evident in the finishing touches, giving the barn a vintage feel.

The Barn...

Facilities

The large, airy barn can easily sit 150 guests for a sit down meal, or up to 200 guests for a buffet style menu. It includes a handmade rustic bar and relaxing lounge area, which is a perfect place to relax those dancing feet! The bar stocks a variety of soft and alcoholic drinks and card and cash payments are available. There is plenty of room in the barn for cake stands, table plans and sweety tables, meaning everything is under one roof. We are pleased to accommodate any props and accessories you decide to have for your special day. We have luxury built in toilet facilities, catering for all our guests. The barn also comes with fairy lights and voile swags to decorate the wooden beams, however you are free to decorate the venue to suit your required theme and to make it feel your own!

Dutch Barn...

At the front of the farm we have the old Dutch Barn. This outside seating area is a great opportunity for pictures, with the stunning views as a backdrop, including the incredible sunsets! The Dutch Barn is an ideal location for a hog roast in the evening or maybe some marshmallow roasting on the fire pit. We are thrilled to have a licence for civil ceremonies and these take place in the Dutch Barn.

Bar area...

Our fabulous rustic timber-built bar is an eye opener by itself. Stocked with local beer, cider and wines, there is something for everyone! Opposite, we offer you and your guests a chance to chill and relax in the bar lounge, with its subtle lighting and comfy sofas and chairs, it is perfect for a chat and to unwind. Card and cash payments are accepted at the bar.

Orchard garden...

Our orchard garden is a lovely area for welcome drinks and socialising. Apple, pear and plum trees, fill the garden, decorated underneath with hay bales for shaded seating. For those little guests who are looking for a bit of fun, this open space is ideal for garden games. The orchard garden is a romantic spot, perfect for photos!
